Important Information Regarding Your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)

I hope this note finds you well.

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) became law on March 27, 2020. The CARES Act waives the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). This means that if you attained age 70½ before January 1, 2020, or if you turn 72 in 2020, you do not have to withdraw your RMD in 2020. This relief from withdrawing RMDs is similarly applicable to those beneficiaries who inherited IRA (s).

You can still make your RMD withdrawal, the CARES Act simply gives account owners the option to waive their RMD in 2020.

Additionally, if you are receiving distributions from your IRA annuities, we are advising you continue with those payments.

If you wish to receive your RMD for 2020, please reply to this email by October 1, 2020 and let us know.
